The Sacramento region and entire Central Valley’s economy depends on having a reliable and safe water supply for our communities and farms.
State and federal water grabs have left us high and dry too often. It is frustrating seeing Folsom Lake regulators release water that could be saved for use later in the year. Even in years with adequate rainfall, federal bureaucrats with competing interests have far too much control over our water resources.
I support greater investment in new reservoirs and water infrastructure, and more local control, to increase the amount of water we capture during the Winter and give us a reserve for dry years.
